The Valley Players has been promoting cultural activities in the Mad River Valley for over forty years, including production of plays and musicals, education in theatrical arts, and concerts and comedy shows. We also make our space available to other theatrical groups, musicians, and individuals for performances or gatherings. Even with the challenges of 2020, we are committed to continue serving residents and visitors with new shows and events.

Join the Valley Players for Theater in Your Home, a series of theatrical presentations that you can enjoy from the safety and comfort of your laptop! Each month through the winter season, watch live staged readings of classic plays and a filmed production of the 2020 Valley Players Playwright Award Winner, The Unicorn from the Stars.

Audiences can view the live staged readings on Zoom for free, with donations gratefully accepted. There will be a $10/viewer ticket price for The Unicorn from the Stars.


Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw, directed by Ruth Ann Pattee

Best known to contemporary audiences as the non-musical version of
My Fair Lady, the play tells the story of a Cockney flower girl transformed into a refined lady by an unconventional professor of phonetics.
The production will be broadcast live over Zoom on Thursday, Nov. 5, Friday, Nov. 6, and Saturday, Nov. 7 starting promptly at 7 pm. Join the Zoom meeting between 6:45 and 7 for entry.

A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, directed by Ruth Ann Pattee

The classic tale of the reformation of a miserly businessman performed live on Zoom December 17-19. Actors interested in participating in this staged reading should email Audition videos are required ONLY if this is your first show with the Valley Players.
